Valley Prep is in the midst of a three-year partnership with the University of Redlands – School of Education to provide training for our teachers. The main goal of this project is to empower teachers to increase the integration of technology in their teaching and learning in a blended learning format. The plan represents the ongoing commitment of Valley Preparatory School to the professional growth and development of its teachers in order for them to meet the unique needs of every student. Students will gain access to the best technology to enhance their learning experience.
The training-workshops are geared to meet the needs of the PS-8th teacher and provide hands-on practical and user-friendly experience for all participants. The workshops utilize a constructivist approach to developing blended classroom strategies. The International Baccalaureate – Primary Years Program, which is currently being implemented at Valley Prep, also uses the constructivist approach to teaching and learning.
